Jon McBride, MBA
Technical Leadership and Entrepreneurship
Jon is a business-focused Executive Technology Consultant and entrepreneur with 25+ years working in technology-focused start-ups and innovative healthcare teams. He has led building mission-critical systems and providing services to large companies such as TransUnion, CVS/Aetna, and the Integrated Healthcare Association of California. Growing up as the son of a Naval aviator, fighter pilot, and one of the first Space Shuttle Pilots- he learned the value of technology, entrepreneurship, and teams in bringing seemingly impossible ideas to reality.
Jonathan Silk, PhD
Leadership, Team Learning, and Managing Team Dynamics
Jonathan is passionate about developing teams to learn and perform faster than their competitors. From his leadership experience in combat and training as a U.S. Army Armor officer in which he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with “V” for Valor and a recipient of the Purple Heart and General Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award, his experience as a faculty member at USMA at West Point, serving as Executive Director of Leadership Development at University of North Texas Health Science Center, and his extensive research- he is sure to bring value and insight to your learning experience with Thriving Teams Institute.
Michele Norton Silk, PhD
Team Learning, Creativity and Engineering Leadership
Michele has a passion for team learning, design thinking, and narrative research as a path to discovering our best-loved self, team, and organization. Her expertise in team learning, creativity and innovation, and engineering leadership development brings a unique perspective for developing courses that support behavior change. Her experience as a narrative inquiry researcher with Texas A&M University in Engineering Leadership, leading a 1:1 technology school, and teaching in the classroom give her a depth of experiential knowledge in leading during uncertainty and ambiguity. She has authored various articles and book chapters on STEM, teams and innovation.
Bruce Gibson
Advisor
Bruce is an experience corporate executive, having served in leadership roles for Fortune 500 companies such as IHG Hotels & Resorts, McKesson, Delta, Coca-Cola. He loves his current role as Vice President, IT Strategy and Technology Business Management at IHG Hotels & Resorts. He is also a certified Executive Coach and has a love for coaching professionals from mid-leadership to executives to find their path in life and work. He has developed his own personal mentor-coach approach that draws upon his whole life and career experience. His unique experiences and expertise provide deep insights into being an executive leader of technical teams.
